Tentative Settlement Reached For CUEFA!
It was only after the strong positive strike vote that things began to change for CUEFA. The administration agreed to the Union’s proposal on workload days after the vote. They dropped demands for reduction in job security one day after the strike began. They agreed to submit salary demands to binding arbitration a few days after that.

Graduate workers at the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, and University of Lethbridge, representing approximately 6,500 members, stand in solidarity with the Concordia University of Edmonton Faculty Association (CUEFA). We applaud the actions of CUEFA to negotiate for long overdue items in order to bring parity to sector norms.

CAUS & CAFA Comparison of Cost per Student
Yesterday, Minister Nicolaides tweeted out that University of Alberta and University of Calgary were among the most expensive universities in the U15 group. He used data from 2017-18, which is over four years old, and we believe that there will be more cuts coming that will drive us to the bottom of the rankings.
