On November 29 and 30, the ULFA and Board negotiating teams held two full days of mediation. This was facilitated by mediator Michael Dyer, who was appointed by the Alberta Labour Relations Board. Two additional dates of mediation are scheduled on December 6 and 7.
The ULFA negotiation team has agreed to provide only general communication to our Members while we are engaged in this process. We hope that this gesture of goodwill will enhance the trust that is required for successful mediation.
The ULFA negotiating team is cautiously optimistic that mediation may result in an agreement.
