On November 14, 2025, the Board and ULFA negotiating teams held their thirty-third bargaining session toward a new Academic Staff Collective Agreement (ASCA). One ULFA member attended as an observer. The focus of the session was the ULFA team’s presentation of proposals responding to the proposal package and supplementary documents tabled by the Board team on October 24, 2025.
At the start, the ULFA team listed all items it understood to be provisionally agreed after the October 24, 2025, session, which now includes Articles 1 (purpose & objectives), and 29 (STP appeals), and deletion of Schedule U (term & sessional letters of offer). The team retabled its Article 10 (appointments) proposal provisionally agreed on October 2, 2025, as it had noticed a slight difference in the Board team’s October 24, 2025, package, which the Board team confirmed was not an intended change.
The ULFA team noted that the resolution of each of the following opened Schedules is contingent on reaching an agreement on other opened items:
- Schedule D (professional activities report): waiting on Article 23 (performance evaluation)/Article 24 (increments)
- Schedule I (harassment & discrimination policy MOU): slated for deletion, waiting on Article 11 (rights & responsibilities)
- Schedule K (administrative suspensions grievance MOU): slated for deletion, waiting on Article 9 (grievance)
- Schedule M (academic career years grievance MOU): slated for deletion, waiting on Article 23 (performance evaluation)/Article 24 (increments)
- Schedule N (merit pool/fund grievance MOU): slated for deletion, waiting on Article 23 (performance evaluation)/Article 24 (increments)
