Over the course of 2024-25, the Joint Working Group on the Assignment of Duties met regularly to address how to improve workload equity and transparency across the institution, in all assignment of duties. Throughout the year, we had many fulsome and enlightening conversations about the complex issues surrounding workload. There was considerable joint effort in preparing the survey and reviewing its results and in identifying relevant comparator institutions; the group jointly requested and received an extension, until the end of May 2025, to complete its work. In concluding the working group’s mandate, the committee elected to submit separate summary reports on the findings of this work, as envisioned by the MOU.
