You may have seen on Social Media or the Administration’s bargaining blog today that the Board has filed an Unfair Labour Practice complaint against ULFA.
This is in keeping with the “hardball” tactics we have seen from the Board side throughout these negotiations and, as we emphasised in town halls this week, is the kind of thing Members should expect to see during this high-pressure stage of the negotiations.
ULFA denies the allegations and will defend itself at the Labour Board. Since we believe that our mutual energy can be better spent on trying to solve the current impasse rather than issuing threats and grandstanding, we will continue to encourage the Board to negotiate in good faith while their allegations are dealt with.
