ULFA hosted its third and fourth Bargaining Town Halls on October 23 and 24, 2024, regarding the current round of negotiations toward a new Collective Agreement.
Members of the ULFA Negotiating Team briefly reviewed the bargaining process to date and summarized the main points of discussion at the most recent bargaining sessions held October 17 and 18, 2024. The remainder of each town hall was opened for comments and Q&A.
During the Q&A, one Member asked how negotiations at other bargaining tables in the province may affect ULFA’s bargaining process and whether gains have been made yet by other Alberta universities currently in bargaining. Other Members asked for clarification about the status of negotiations toward a Teaching Professoriate and inquired about the scheduling of bargaining dates for the new year.
