On February 26th and 28th, 2025, ULFA hosted its ninth and tenth Bargaining Town Halls in the current round of negotiations toward a new Academic Staff Collective Agreement (ASCA). Both town halls provided an update on the overall progress of bargaining to date.
Members of the ULFA negotiating team reviewed the progress of negotiations in general and followed with a summary of proposals exchanged thus far, in 5 groupings.
The 5 groupings of proposals:
- Package 1: Articles 8, 12, and 33
- Package 2: Articles 4, 10, 18, 20, and 38
- Career Progress/Merit: Articles 23, 24, and Schedule D
- Grievance/Discipline: Articles 9, 11, and 19
- Teaching Professoriate: Articles 2, 13, 21, 23, 24, 25, 28, 35, 37, Schedule D, WW, and [X].
The Q&A that followed discussed the status of negotiations, including some observations on the differences between positions at the table. Members also commented on the various working group reports from the previous round of negotiations.
