A “yes” vote does not automatically mean we are going on strike. It simply means that the membership has given the ULFA Executive Committee the ability to call a legal strike if an agreement cannot be reached. In the Canadian post-secondary sector, there are many more positive strike votes than actual strikes.

Over 80% of our Members self-report working more than 40 hours a week. The Board has admitted in writing that they have not abided by our Collective Agreement since 2018 by failing to produce and implement policies to ensure that workloads for all members are equitable and reasonable.

Send the email below to the University President and senior leadership and ask them to negotiate a fair deal that prioritizes high-quality education and helps us avoid job action at U of L.
