The University of Lethbridge Faculty Association (ULFA) stands in solidarity with the 55,000 members of CUPE’s Ontario School Boards Council of Unions (OSBCU) who are now on strike in pursuit of a sorely needed wage increase. These workers are crucial members of Ontario’s public education system, but are the lowest paid education workers. We firmly believe that working conditions are learning conditions and we call on the Provincial leadership to negotiate in good faith and meaningfully address the concerns of these workers.
ULFA is the exclusive bargaining agent for academic staff at the University of Lethbridge. Our membership consists of all U of L academic staff: about 500 faculty and instructors and 100 sessional lecturers. We exist to unite and empower our membership to help make things better.
