The University of Lethbridge Faculty Association (ULFA) is hosting a roundtable on Collegial Governance. Our goal is to generate a robust conversation around collegial governance on successful university campuses in Canada and around the world. That conversation will discuss the ideals, history, and importance of collegial governance, as well as how it can run into difficulties in the modern university setting. ULFA has invited panelists active in both Faculty Associations and Senior Administrations to discuss this topic from their perspectives. Our panelists include:
- Jeff Hennessey (Provost and VP Academic and Research, Mount Allison University)
- Jeff Keshen (President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Regina)
- Marc Schroeder (Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computing, Mount Royal University)
- Robin Whitaker (Vice-President, CAUT and Associate Professor of Anthropology, Memorial University)
We will begin the event with remarks from each panelist, followed by a roundtable discussion and an audience Q&A. Please join us for the conversation!
