During the final mediation session on January 17th the ULFA negotiation team clearly indicated to the Board negotiation team that they were available to hear any Board proposals in response to the ULFA team’s latest proposal. This availability included the already reserved January 25th and 26th negotiation sessions (see here). Having heard nothing directly from the Board negotiation team since the close of mediation on January 17th, the ULFA negotiation team was pleasantly surprised to see messaging in a recent email to the entire university community indicating that the University is doing its utmost and is eager to return to negotiations. The ULFA team has reached out to the Board team directly, reiterating that it remains ready to listen to any proposals the Board negotiation team may have to present.
